Governace literature by Carsten Greve

Carsten Greve is one of Denmark’s leading experts on public management and governance. He is currently director of a research project on “Partnering – Policy making and Regulation” financed in 2004-2008 by a grant from the Danish Social Science Research Council. Yesterday, we met and he recommended the following literature on governance:

Improving Governance: A New Logic for Empirical Research by Laurence E., Jr Lynn, et al

Governance and Performance: New Perspectives by Carolyn J. Heinrich (Editor), Laurence E. Lynn (Editor)

Managing The Electronic Government From Vision To Practice by KUNO SCHEDLER, LUKAS SUMMERMATTER, Bernhard Schmidt, Lawrence R. Jones (Editor), Nancy C. Roberts (Editor)

Building the Virtual State: Information Technology and Institutional Change by Jane E. Fountain

I know the Fountain book – the rest I had to order…

One Response to Governace literature by Carsten Greve

  1. John Gøtze says:

I don’t know the two first, but Fountain’s book is good. She also has an article on virtual state in Kamarck and Nye (1999) democracy.com? Governance in a networked world. Check her website for more. It might be an idea for you to visit her and the National Center for Digital Government at Harvard while you’re in the states. I met Jane a couple of years ago, and am sure she would be interested in connecting.
